DeltaStream live data streaming technology enabled UEFA and Sportal to broadcast live commentary for every match in Euro2000 in up to seven languages to a worldwide Java internet audience. It was also used by Yahoo for their HTML based live coverage of this festival of football.

In their press release, UEFA and Sportal claimed 128 million page impressions for Euro2000. One million of these were to the DeltaStream powered live coverage. 600,000 people watched the matches, the most popular being the semi-final between Italy and The Netherlands which attracted 100,000 people.
